Christine lives with her mother and father in a household of five. She lives in a small brick home with dirt floors and no running water or electricity. Her father works as a peasant farmer and her mother looks after the home. The family lives on less that $2 a day and are unable to pay for Christine to attend school. She is well behaved and enjoys singing and dancing. One day Christine hopes to become a nurse.
