Unexpected Storm Damage at Solid Rock Primary

Recently, a strong windstorm swept through Arua and caused significant damage to one of the primary classroom blocks at Solid Rock Christian School. The roof was lifted off during after-school hours, praise God, no students or staff were injured.

While the classroom block is currently unusable, classes have safely resumed in other areas of the school. We are grateful for the resilience and resourcefulness of our Ugandan team as they work to keep learning going uninterrupted.
The estimated cost to fully repair the classroom block is $18,000. We will share more updates and photos soon as plans develop to restore the building.

Please continue to keep the students and teachers in your prayers as we move forward together in faith and gratitude.
It's predicted that many families who have lost work will be unable to provide an education for their children, even if they were previously able to. Sponsoring a child breaks the cycle of poverty in a family so that the next generation will not need food handouts in a crisis. Consider sponsoring a child today.
