Rithous Mungutimu is a shy and gentle boy living in a family of eight with his parents, Nancy and Fred. His mother is a peasant farmer, and his father works as a builder. Despite their hard work, the family survives on less than $2 a day. Rithous finds joy in the simple things, often spending his time playing with sand. His quiet demeanor and playful nature make him a sweet presence in his household.
