Special gifts to your sponsored child
The #1 question we receive when it comes to gifts to a child is "how do we designate what the gift goes to?" 50% of your gift will go into savings for family emergencies or the child's future education, and 50% will be spent right away. Our staff in Uganda talk to the kids and their caretakers to see what is needed most. They may already have a goat, so your gift gives them a new mattress. Or they may have a mattress, so your gift gives them a solar-powered lightbulb. We want to respect the dignity of the people there to know what they need best.
